Definitions:
OS:
Stands for Operating System.

LAN:
Stands for Local Area Connection a local computer network for communication between computers; especially a network connecting computers and word processors and other electronic office equipment to create a communication system between offices.

WAN:
Stands for Wide Area Network. A computer network that spans a relatively large geographical area. Typically, a WAN consists of two or more local-area networks (LAN). Computers connected to a wide-area network are often connected through public networks, such as the telephone system. They can also be connected through leased lines or satellites. The largest WAN in existence is the Internet.
